Our latest two releases bring to you several fixes for known issues, and significant improvements all over the place!
- New Casefile Names : Casefile names now include not only the applicant's name, but the name(s) of secondary applicants and defendants or their employers, as appropriate. The following example shows a worker's compensation case that includes the employer as the defendant in the casefile name. The second image shows another example that includes one applicant and one defendant, without an employer.
- Include Casefile number in your invoice tracker: MerusCase now makes it possible for your firm to include the casefile number in your invoice tracker (ref. number), making it easier to identify casefile-related invoices. You will find this as a firm preference under Billing and Tracking.
- Update billing dates of multiple-item invoices in one go: When creating invoices that include multiple items, you now have the option to set the billing date and billing period start date for all items in one easy step, instead of having to update each item individually. Look for this option as a check box underneath the date fields when creating a new invoice.
- Include courtesy billing hours in daily total: As a firm preference, you now have the option to include courtesy billing hours (time entered by a user on behalf of another) in your daily total. When you set this preference, MerusCase will provide you with a visual clue to help you identify entries that were the result of courtesy billing.
- Improvements to Workflows: MerusCase now provides the ability to set workflows that will generate tasks/events assigned to the currently logged user that generated the activity that triggered the workflow. It is also possible to assign the task/event created by a workflow to any of the members of the staff in the case for which the activity was created that triggered the workflow, providing our users with a clear advantage in automation. Additionally, it is now possible to set a workflow that will be triggered by an occurrence in the application, as opposed to a manually created activity. These occurrences include creating a new case, cloning a form, creating a form, submitting a DWC Parcel, among others. Of course, you can still set a workflow triggered by manually created activities.
- Improvements to Messages: Our users can now set their inbound and outbound email accounts using the same host. This is particularly good news for those users of exchange and custom accounts that were experiencing trouble in the past. Also in this release, additional recipients (CC and other recipients) are always shown for all messages, whether they were fetched via POP or IMAP.
- Other improvements systemwide: Added support for IE11, improvements to the way we handle data caching throughout the application in order to enhance user experience under increased workload, tightened security measures to prevent script attacks and SQL injections.
