Cases in the Archived tab, separate from the main Cases tab in Browse Cases
If you're at a large firm, or if your firm has been around for a long time, your Browse Cases view probably has hundreds (or even thousands!) of cases in it. Sorting and filtering in MerusCase makes it easy to sift through a big, intimidating list and find the case you want, but we also wanted to make the list less big and intimidating in the first place.
Enter the Archived case tab: cases set to status Archived are automatically moved to this tab, reducing clutter in the main Cases tab. Changing the status here from Archived to any other status will also automatically move a case back to the main Cases tab. Archived cases still have all of their activities, parties, and other information, and they still show up on things like reports and Related Case lists.

We got an email just this afternoon from a user who'd printed out a case's details to take with them to the court. When they got back, they discovered that the case was missing from the Cases tab. Concerned, they sent us an email with a scanned copy of the case's printout and asked us to help track the case down.
This kind of specific information allowed me to find the case in minutes. With the applicant's name, I logged in to this firm's support account, went to Browse Contacts, and filtered for the applicant by name. I opened up the applicant's details, went to the Cases tab to get a list of related cases, and found exactly one: the "missing" case.
As of our most recent release, we also log changes in the status of cases. I was able to go in to this case from the related cases list for that applicant, go to the Activity tab, and show the user exactly who archived the case, and when it was archived:

The user thanked me, both for taking the time to track down the case, and for saving them from a minor heart attack!
