Feature Focus: Party Groups

Do you find it difficult to find all of the doctors that are attached to your case? Fortunately, the 'Party Groups' tool allows users to classify individuals and companies into custom categories within your 'Parties' tab! Ultimately, this simplifies the process of finding medical providers, attorneys, witnesses and any other type of case player.

So, how can I use these party groups to simplify my work flow?

In order to utilize party groups, you can jump into the 'Parties' tab of a case* and assign a party a category of your choice at the bottom of each individual's Party Card.

Once you've assigned your Party Groups, you will then be able to sort by Party Groups when you're viewing the "Parties At a Glance" tab. Now, it's way quicker to sort through the the types of people associated with your cases, right?

This is great, but how do I create a custom party group?

  1. Navigate to the Party Group page. To do this, in the upper-right-hand corner of your MerusCase dashboard, click on Tools > Settings and Options.
  2. Now, in the column on the left, click on Systemwide Settings > Party Groups.
  3. Once the Party Groups page pops up, click on "New Party Group."
  4. Assign a Name, Order, and Color to your custom party type.
  5. Click "Save" and your Party Group is ready to use!

Pro Tip: If you want to edit your party group, it's simple! When you've reached Systemwide Settings > Party Groups, you can click on the colored box directly to the left of the party group you want to edit. When you click on it, the Adjusters box will pop up, which will then allow you to alter the Name, Order, and Color of that party group.
