Earlier this month I wrote about 3 Features to look forward to with Cressida, aka. MerusCase 5.4. Well 5.4 is here, so here are the full release notes.
We’ve introduced a new concept for customizing the data you see on screen. See the "Customizable Preset Filters" section to learn how these flexible new filters work:
- It is now possible to create and save filters for your searches.
- Saved filters can have multiple filtering criteria.
- Editing events in API calls will retain existing assignees, even if none are provided in the request
- Endpoints are available for adding and removing event assignees when an array of user_id values is provided
- addAssignees
- delAssignees
For more information see: API Endpoints in the MerusCase Docs.
- Retainers are no longer restricted by billing rules.
- Invoices
- Smarter about applying credits to multiple invoices when there are multiple overpayments.
- An allocated amount is now properly shown even when it is the first amount allocated.
- It is no longer possible to add a contact with only a First Name or Last Name. Contacts must include both fields in order to be saved.
The following are a list of added fields and changes for Immigration Case Contacts:
- Travel History can now be recorded for contacts. Fields include:
- Departure Point
- Departure Date
- Arrival Point
- Arrival Date
- If the person was Inspected
- If the person was Admitted
- Reason for Travel
- Destination
- Manner of Entry
- Travel Document used
More information be found under the "Travel History and other Fields will be available for contacts" section.
- In addition to Travel History, Travel Documents is available for Immigration Case contacts as well. Fields Include.
- Document Type
- Issuing Country
- Document Number
- Issued Date
- Expiration Date
- Demographics fields include:
- Ethnicity
- Race
- Hair Color
- Eye Color
- Height
- Weight
- Added ability to record Immigration Status:
- Now MerusCase prevents the selection of folders that have been tagged Nonexistent as synchronization targets when using Gmail as your mail provider.
- Improved validation checks on provided usernames (email addresses). Before users would enter their email address with a space afterwards and MerusCase would read that entry as invalid. This has been fixed.
- Events are sorted more appropriately in Print Agenda View output.
- Smarter about determining the start date when filtering using Last/This/Next keywords.
- Improved sorting of events classified as All Day. Events marked "All Day" now start at 12 AM for the day they're marked.
- Improved speed when filtering or sorting events by case.
- Better behavior when creating events in timezones other than Pacific (Standard or Daylight).
- More explicit confirmation when attempting to delete tasks.
- Inline images are no longer considered documents to be linked to the case.
- For 3rd Party Apps, the User column in user lists now has an appropriate header.
- For Workflows, we added "Other Staff" and "Other Attorney" options for assignment:
- Improved text display in system clock warning.
- More clarity around E-filing Configuration status warning message.
- Logging a call from a contact's card now properly populates the Associated Contact field
- Improved behavior when removing a party in one tab and attempting to interact with that party in another tab, even without refreshing the MerusCase app.
- Newly created companies no longer receive an improper icon and dropdown options.
Conclusion
