If you've ever sent more than 5 emails in your lifetime, you've probably, at some point or another, sent an email that you wish you could go back in time and just unsend. Well, as of a few weeks ago, Google has officially made this possible with Gmail. Here's how:
1. Enable the Undo Send feature
In order to turn on the new feature, click on the 'Settings' button from your inbox. From here, you just have to scroll down to 'Undo Send' and click the checkbox that says 'Enable'. You can choose between 5, 10, 20, and 30 seconds for your cancellation period.
2. Compose and Send your email as you normally would
Nothing about the message composition process has changed and the 'Compose' window should look exactly the same.
3. Undo Send as necessary
Now, every time you send an email, a pop up will appear, allowing you to click 'Undo Send'. BAM -- it's like the email never happened! No more silly mistakes, ever (hopefully).
